Filming Process

Catechize Academy final finished film product

This is our groups final film product. As you can see the film is about 2 minutes long which is near to the limited time frame.
Rough-cut feedback

In my opinion, this was not the best film becuase it had a few too many rubbish camera shots i.e. mainly shakey camera.

Rough cut of our film Catechize Academy

This is our rough cut our film 'Catechize Academy'
I have posted this becuase I think that is is good evidence that we have shot of film, even though we were limited on cast. First minute of film.

Thursday 10th March
Sam and I later joined by Lee (After his driving lesson finished) filmed the startof the film, when Miss Smith walked down the corridor. Sam and Lee explored several different camera angles and shots; filming through windows, low angle shots looking at feet and tracking shots. Whilst I took on the roll of director; assisting actors to match our 'Idea' on how the finished film will look, whilst also working the clapper board and continuity.
Filming went really well and our group managed to get a lot more done than expected, because we just wanted to film the corridor and we ended up filming the scene when Mr Jones enter his office. We filmed two takes of everything, so that we had enough footage to edit.
Adam did not attend this shoot.

Monday 14th March

Adam, Lee, Sam and I, started the filming of the CCTV footage in the classroom, which will be played on the screen of the headmaster’s computer. A small number school students attended, although further recruiting by Adam and myself meant that we had sufficient numbers.
Filming went okay, although use of lower school kids may behave to be re-done because the children did not act how we wanted them (they just did their own thing, after we told them to do it our way, basically the just ignored us.
All Members present.

Tuesday 15th March
Lee, Adam Sam and myself continued the filming process even though 1 student turned up to be filmed along with the actress playing Miss Smith. We filmed several shots with these 2 actresses. We watched the footage back at the location to make sure the quality was of a high standard. Hopefully we will be finished filming and editing by Tuesday 22nd March. Ready for the deadline on the 23rd March.
All Members present although we were all disappointed with the lack of volunteers turning up.

Tuesday 22nd March
Sam and myself filmed the scene when the students stand up (leaving 4 students still standing, we changed it to 4 becuase we just didn't have the students avalible) and leave the classroom. The 4 students left standing were fantastic at standing still and not moving which had a little bit of fear factor.
Lee wasn't there becuase he had Forbidden Planet rehearsals and Adam wasn't there either becuase we couldn't find him to tell him and his phone was not working properly, so communication was poor.

Sam, Adam, Lee and myself continued to film the last remaining scenes after school becuase this week we were told by a teacher that some students would like to be in our film and are going to media now, so I ran to fetch these students so hopefull we will be finished in time for the deadline. I left Lee, Adam and Sam to film the few shots they could do with Miss Smith and the 2 actresses that turned up on the day. I later returned after 10 minutes looking for the students that wanted to help us, but they didn't turn up, this meant we could do any more filming and we caried on editing our film.
All members present.

Wednesday 23rd March
Adam filmed the feew remaining scenes of our film, i.e. the major scenes in the classroom (but without Miss Smith) which only took him about 30 minutes because of the free time that he had because he had no lessons, whilst the rest of our group, me included, had lessons so we couldn't film.
Well done to Adam
